What to See & Do in Atlanta

Atlanta has so much to see and do there  is something exciting for the whole family.  We have provided information about museums, sports, and guided tours elsewhere on this site but here we have the activity seekers dream.  Racing is a large part of Atlanta.  There is the racing hall of fame, motor speedways, go cart racing, and many places where you can sit in the drivers seat.  Racing is just the beginning!  Six Flags, ESPN Zone, and the White Water Theme Park are some other exciting activates to keep your heart pounding.  If excitement is what you are looking for, look below and you will find it.

American Adventures Amusement Park - Georgia's amusement park for families with kids age 12 and under. Centennial Olympic Park - Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The park is a 21-acre legacy from the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. Philips Arena - Covering 4.4 acres, the Philips Arena is a state of the art multi-purpose sport & entertainment complex. Home to the NBA Atlanta Hawks & the NHL Atlanta Thrashers. Fans will enjoy streetscapes, including Hawk Walk, the "interior street." The most visible marketing tactic is that the arena is full of Philips technology. The Thrashers Nest, an interactive area for fans, includes the 10,000-square-foot Philips Experience, which lets fans try out Philips products. The area includes the 60-foot Philips "video totem," which consists of a dozen, 15-foot TV screens. The totem is suspended above an area surrounded by digital cameras, so fans can watch themselves on the screen. Philips Experience also features a virtual reality hockey game & 3-D video capability. Fans also can keep tabs on the game while they wait in line for a hot dog by watching one of the 624 Philips TVs throughout the arena. White Water Theme Park - The South's largest water theme park with nearly 50 ways to get wet on 50 scenic acres.
